Rural Abilene Resident Creates Two New Scholarships

Oren Glatt, of rural Abilene, Kan., remembers how tough it was to put himself through college. He hopes his recent gift of $150,000 to create two scholarships at Washburn University will help make getting a degree a little easier for future students.


Hall of Honor Unveiled in Union

Nearly 200 people attended a celebration on October 16 to unveil the new Hall of Honor exhibit located in Washburn University’s Memorial Union.


Davidsons Make $5 million Gift to School of Business
Sept. 10, 2009
Topeka – Washburn University officials announced today the largest single gift ever made to Washburn. Richard K. and Trish Davidson, of Bonita Springs, Fla., made a gift providing nearly $5 million to significantly increase support for faculty professorships and chairs in the School of Business.


WEA Board of Trustees Gains Seven New Members

The Washburn Endowment Association is pleased to announce the addition of seven new members to its Board of Trustees. The new trustee members were elected in May at the WEA annual meeting.


WWA Awards 42 Scholarships for 2009-10
May 11, 2009
The Washburn Women’s Alliance (WWA) held its annual scholarship luncheon on Monday, May 11, 2009. Forty-two students were awarded over $80,000 in scholarships for the 2009-10 academic year, representing the largest number of recipients and the most scholarship dollars ever awarded.
